Shit For Which This Receptionist Does Not Have...
Lady on the Phone: We received a piece of mail that said you had a matching gift for donations through November 30th. I was wondering if that's been extended.
Me: No, it hasn't.
Lady on the Phone: So the matching gift isn't still going on?
Me: Nope.
Lady on the Phone: Okay, so there's no matching gift any more?
Me: No.

A few weeks ago, so at least a month after I left my theatre job, an agent (whom I’d never thought knew I existed) sent me a facebook message asking if I’d left my job, and where I’d gone?! I answered, though he never carried on the conversation. Then, a couple of weeks later, he started a facebook Scrabble game with me, called: Freelance, part 1.
Is this a joke or a test?

a print for my own damn apartment

It was preeeeetty. They avoided the uncanny valley issue by making the Na’vi different enough from actual humans, so it was good animation that didn’t wind up creepy like Polar Express. The only times I even paid attention to the animation after the beginning were during the times when the real and animated beings were touching each other, and that was better than I...

OH MY GOD, it’s the lady with the braids from Sesame Street! Oh, wow… she truly might be my earliest memory. I’m glad to know her name, though I wish I’d known it sooner. RIP, Alaina Reed Hall, and thank you so much for this.
Damn. Olivia died. She was awesome. She’s one of the first things I remember about Sesame Street.
